3/1/2025, 4:23 AM

Summary of Bill HR 869

Bill 119 hr 869, also known as the Full Funding for Education Act, aims to ensure that two important education programs receive full funding. The first program is part A of title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, which provides funding to schools with high numbers of students from low-income families. The second program is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which ensures that students with disabilities receive the support and services they need to succeed in school.

The bill emphasizes the importance of providing adequate funding for these programs in order to support the academic success of all students, regardless of their socioeconomic status or disability. By fully funding these programs, the bill aims to address the disparities in educational opportunities that exist for many students across the country.

If passed, the Full Funding for Education Act would require the federal government to allocate the necessary funds to fully support part A of title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. This would help ensure that schools have the resources they need to provide a high-quality education to all students, regardless of their background or abilities. Overall, the Full Funding for Education Act seeks to prioritize education funding and support the academic success of all students by ensuring that these two important programs receive the full funding they require.
