I respectfully disagree with the decision to recognize January 2025 as "National Mentoring Month". While I understand the importance of mentoring and supporting others, I believe that designating an entire month for this purpose may not be the most effective way to promote mentoring relationships. It is crucial to consider the potential impact of this decision on individuals like myself who may not have the time or resources to actively participate in mentoring programs during this designated month. Additionally, I am concerned about the potential implications of this bill on existing national observances and holidays. I believe that a more nuanced approach to promoting mentoring throughout the year would be more beneficial for all parties involved.
