Summary of Bill HRES 93
Bill 119 H.Res. 93 is a resolution that sets the rules for considering another bill, H.R. 27. The purpose of H.R. 27 is to make changes to the Controlled Substances Act specifically related to fentanyl-related substances. Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is responsible for a significant portion of opioid-related deaths in the United States.
The main goal of H.R. 27 is to adjust the scheduling of fentanyl-related substances under the Controlled Substances Act. This could involve changing how these substances are classified and regulated, potentially leading to stricter controls or penalties for their manufacture, distribution, and use.
In addition to addressing fentanyl-related substances, H.R. 27 may also include provisions for other purposes related to the Controlled Substances Act. This could involve updates or changes to other aspects of the Act to better address the ongoing opioid crisis and prevent the misuse and abuse of dangerous substances. Overall, Bill 119 H.Res. 93 is setting the stage for the consideration of H.R. 27, which aims to make important changes to the regulation of fentanyl-related substances and potentially other aspects of the Controlled Substances Act. This legislation is part of ongoing efforts to combat the opioid epidemic and protect public health and safety.

Not sure what this bill is all about, but if it helps keep dangerous drugs off the streets, then I'm all for it. Short term, it might make a difference in my community.
