This expansion aims to provide greater financial security to surviving spouses who may be struggling to make ends meet after the loss of their spouse. Overall, the "Improving Benefits and Services for Surviving Spouses Act" is designed to honor the sacrifices made by military service members and veterans by ensuring that their surviving spouses receive the support and benefits they deserve. This bill has garnered bipartisan support in Congress and is seen as a positive step towards improving the lives of surviving spouses across the country.
