Connected Maternal Online Monitoring Act or the Connected MOM Act

This bill requires the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to report, and provide resources for states, on coverage of remote physiologic devices and related services (e.g., blood glucose monitors) under Medicaid, so as to improve maternal and child health outcomes for pregnant and postpartum women.

I support this bill to help pregnant and postpartum women get better healthcare. But how will this really change things in the long run?

This bill is a waste of time and money. Why should my tax dollars go towards covering remote devices for pregnant women on Medicaid? It's not my problem if they can't afford it. This is just another example of government overreach and unnecessary spending. I don't see how this will benefit me or anyone else.
