I don't really get why they're making such a big deal about this whole "International Year of the Woman Farmer" thing. I mean, women in agriculture are important and all, but why do we need a whole year dedicated to them? Seems like a waste of time and resources to me. I don't see how this is gonna benefit anyone, especially not me.
