As a young Republican from NY, I am saddened by the passing of this bill. While I understand the importance of raising awareness for polycystic kidney disease, I believe that designating a whole month for this cause may not be the most effective way to bring attention to it. I wonder what the long term effects of this bill will be on our society and if it will truly make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
