Ranking Member Senator Heinrich leads Energy and Natural Resources Democrats on a business meeting and confirmation hearing for several pending nominations before the Committee. The hearing is to consider the nominations of Mr. Jonathan Brightbill to be General Counsel of the Department of Energy; Ms. Tina Pierce to be Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Energy; Mr. Connor Prochaska to be Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency within the Department of Energy, and Mr. Ned Mamula to be Director of U.S. Geological Survey within the Department of the Interior. During the business meeting, the Committee will vote on the nominations of Dr. Andrea Travnicek to be Assistant Secretary of the Interior (Water and Science), Ms. Leslie Beyer to be Assistant Secretary of the Interior (Lands and Mineral Management), Mr. Theodore Garrish to be Assistant Secretary of Energy (Nuclear Energy), and Mr. Tristan Abbey to be Administrator of Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy .
