Summary of Bill HR 77

Bill 119 hr 77, also known as the Midnight Rules Relief Act of 2021, aims to amend chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code. The main purpose of this bill is to allow for en bloc consideration in resolutions of disapproval for "midnight rules."

Midnight rules refer to regulations that are issued by federal agencies during the final months of a presidential administration. These rules are often rushed through without proper scrutiny and can have significant impacts on various industries and sectors.

The Midnight Rules Relief Act of 2021 seeks to streamline the process for Congress to review and potentially overturn these midnight rules. By allowing for en bloc consideration, multiple resolutions of disapproval can be grouped together and voted on as a single package, making the process more efficient and effective. In addition to addressing midnight rules, the bill also includes provisions for other purposes related to regulatory oversight and accountability. Overall, the goal of this legislation is to ensure that regulations issued by federal agencies are subject to proper review and oversight by Congress, ultimately promoting transparency and accountability in the regulatory process.

This bill is so dumb, why they gotta make things so complicated? It's just a bunch of rules and stuff, who even cares? Why can't they just leave things alone and let us live our lives? What's the point of all this anyway? #confused
